Faux Fur Earmuffs

  • Measuring Cup and Spoon

Instructions
  1. Cover your work area and gather supplies.
  2. For best results, prewash faux fur earmuffs, rinse and leave damp. This will help to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption. Set aside.
  3. Heat 2 gallons / 7.5 liters of water on the stovetop to roughly 200ºF / 93ºC or greater.
  4. When water begins to simmer, add 1/2 cup /125 mL of well-shaken DyeMore for Synthetics  in desired color and stir well.
  5. Wearing rubber gloves,  carefully dip the earmuffs into the dyebath.  Keep moving it around the dyebath to avoid harsh dyelines from forming and achieve a  uniform color.
  6. Once desired color is achieved, remove from dyebath and rinse in warm water then gradually cool.
  7. Wash with mild detergent and air dry.
