Instructions
- Prewash robe and faux fur to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption, leave damp.
- Cover work area with plastic table cover and have paper towels handy to protect against possible spills.
- Fill plastic container with 3 gallons of the hottest tap water. The water should be ideally 140F. If tap water is not hot enough, heat water on stove and add it to the dyebath.
- To enhance the the color, add one cup of salt. Add 1 teaspoon of liquid dish detergent to help promote level dyeing. Stir well.
- Wearing rubber gloves, add 1/2 bottle of Coral, 1/4 bottle of Tan and 1/4 bottle of Petal Pink.
- Add damp robe and faux fur to dyebath and stir occasionally for 5 to 30 minutes.
- When desired color is achieved, remove robe and faux fur from the dyebath. Squeeze out excess dye and rinse in cool water until water runs clear.
- Wash with mild detergent, rinse and dry.
- Cut faux fur to match the circumference of sleeves and bottom length of robe
- Adhere cut faux fur panels to robe as shown using permanent fabric glue.
- Cut eye mask shape from leftover faux fur and adhere 1” elastic measured to fit around your head.
