1. For small and medium loads, use one package of Rit White-Wash. For large and extra-large loads, use two packages of Rit White-Wash.
2. Fill a stainless-steel pot with enough water for fabric to move freely.
3. Heat water to just below boiling (200°F 93°C or greater) and maintain temperature.
4. Carefully add Rit White-Wash, pouring just above water level. Avoid breathing in powder and use with adequate ventilation.
5. Add 1 tablespoon 15 mL of laundry detergent into pot and mix well.
6. Add fabric to bath.
7. Stir consistently for 10 to 20 minutes.
8. Carefully drain White-Wash solution into sink.
9. Wearing rubber gloves, rinse fabric in warm water and then gradually cool water.
10. Dry as usual.

Top Loader  

1. Set water temperature to the hottest possible setting and a wash cycle of at least 30 minutes or longer.
2. Start the cycle.
3. Carefully add Rit White-Wash, pouring just above water level. For small and medium loads, use one package of Rit White-Wash. For large and extra-large loads, use two packages of Rit White-Wash. Avoid breathing in powder and use with adequate ventilation.
4. Add laundry detergent as usual.
5. When agitation begins, add unfolded fabric to washing machine. Avoid crowding.
6. Once cycle is complete, dry as usual.

Front Loader 

1. Please Note: We do not recommend this method for extra-large items or multiple items. 
2. Place fabric in washing machine.
3. Set water temperature to the hottest possible setting and a wash cycle of at least 30 minutes or longer.
4. Carefully mix Rit White-Wash with 2 cups 470 mL of very hot water. For small and medium loads, use one package of Rit White-Wash. For large and extra-large loads, use two packages of Rit White-Wash. Avoid breathing in powder and use with adequate ventilation.
5. Start the cycle and remove detergent cup from detergent tray. Pour Rit White-Wash solution and laundry detergent into the disperser. Flush the detergent throughout with 4 cups 950 mL more of hot tap water.
6. Once cycle is complete, dry as usual.
