Instructions
- Cover work area with plastic table cover and have paper towels handy to protect against any possible spills. Gather supplies.
- Wash and dry napkins to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption. Fold in half and set aside.
- Create a 4 cup dyebath in desired color, water should ideally be 140ºF. If tap water is not hot enough, heat water on the stove and add to the dyebath. We used the Harvest color formula with 2 tsbp Tangerine, 1/2 tsp Cocoa Brown and ½ tsp Scarlet.
- Dip paint brush into small dyebath and paint a 2” stripe across the folded napkin. Have paper towels nearby for any spills.
- Flip napkin over and repeat on the other side.
- Repeat Steps 4-5 to paint as many napkins as desired.
- Once done, spray the dyed areas with ColorStay Dye Fixative and hang to fully dry.
- Once dry, rinse only the dyed areas until water runs clear.
- Wash in cold water with mild detergent, rinse and dry.
