Instructions
- Cover your work area and gather supplies.
- For best results, prewash fuzzy stockings, rinse and leave damp. This will help to remove any finishes that may interfere with dye absorption. Set aside.
- Heat 2 gallons of water on the stovetop to roughly 200ºF / 93ºC or greater.
- When water begins to simmer, add 1/2 cup of well-shaken Super Pink DyeMore for Synthetics and stir well.
- Wearing rubber gloves, pick up the damp stockings with tongs and carefully dip the entire piece into the dyebath. Pull out immediately and leave 2/3 of it in the dyebath to create a gradient. Then pull it out even further to dye the remaining 1/3 into a darker color. Keep moving it around the dyebath to avoid harsh dyelines from forming and achieve a smooth gradient.
- Once desired color is achieved, remove from dyebath and rinse in cold water.
- Repeat steps 3-6 with Apricot Orange and again with Peacock Green to create multiple colors.
