Scrambling up new ways to upcycle eggs for Easter due to the eggflation, like these eggshell candles reminiscent of robin eggs 🪺🐣🥚✨ complete instructions below 👇

🥚Gently tap top of eggs with the back of a spoon to create an opening. Remove the yolk for breakfast 🍳

🥚Rinse the inside of the eggshell with soap and water to remove the membrane. Gently pat dry and set aside.

🥚 Fill a plastic container or sink with the hottest tap water and add in dye. Stir well. For this project, we used aquamarine.

🥚Put on gloves and place eggshells in the dye bath to soak until desired color is achieved. The longer the eggshells stay in the dye bath, the darker the color will be. Lightly stir them to give your eggs an ‘organic’ look. We kept the eggs in the dyebath for 3 minutes.

🥚Place eggs back in carton and allow them to fully dry.

🥚Once dry, adhere the candle wicks to the bottoms of the eggshells.

🥚Melt down candle wax and add in desired scent or essential oils.

🥚Pour into the eggshells and allow the wax to cool.

🥚Cut off excess wick and enjoy!
