Apricot Orange

DYEMORE® FOR SYNTHETICS

Apricot Orange

Great things happen when sun-ripened fruit and citrus mingle. Here’s proof.

Liquid, 7 oz.
Rit Dye

A dye made specifically for synthetic fabrics, which includes anything with 35% or more polyester, acrylic or acetate. Each little bottle packs a colorful punch and is ready to deliver a custom touch to garments new and old, household items, and more. It even works on 3D printed items, lacrosse sticks, wigs and most plastics. Plus, just like our original formula, Rit DyeMore is non-toxic and safe for sewer and septic systems.

*Important Note: Due to the complexity of dyeing synthetics, you must use Rit DyeMore with the stovetop method to maintain an almost boiling temperature for the duration of your dyeing. Accordingly: (1) you cannot use Rit DyeMore to dye anything that won’t fit into a pot on your stove and (2) you cannot use your washer because the machine won’t be able to achieve the water temperature needed for Rit DyeMore to penetrate the fabric.

Looking for instructions on how to use Rit DyeMore? You’re in luck! You can find everything you need to get going here.

Perfect For:

Polyester, Acrylic, Acetate, Nylon, Spandex, Some Plastic, Fabric Blends that Contain More Than 35% Synthetic Fibers

Reduce. Rewear. Upcycle.

Saving four shirts you love with our non-toxic dye versus buying new ones reduces your CO2 emissions by 74%. CO2 is the primary gas responsible for trapping heat in the atmosphere and is the main contributor to climate change.

Dye Techniques

Ignite your inner creativity by trying out a dye technique.

How to Dye

Step 1: Pick a Shade

You can go with an already bottled shade or one of our color formulas. The bottom line is you have options.

How to Dye

Step 2: Grab a Pot

Due to the complexity of dyeing synthetics, you’ll need to use your stove to maintain high heat for the duration of the dyeing.

How to Dye

Step 3: Create a Dye Bath

We generally recommend mixing 4 ounces of dye with three gallons of hot water per pound of fabric. The key is to make sure your dye bath is big enough for the fabric to move freely. If dyeing 100% polyester, double the dye.

How to Dye

Step 4: Dye Your Fabric

Depending on how bold of a color you are trying to achieve, this can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes.

How to Dye

Step 5: Wash and Enjoy!

We’re confident you’ll love (💚) your new one-of-a-kind garment.
